The MacQueen Apartment - Garden Suite is within walking distance from Monkstadt House. It is a cosy, comfortable and romantic self-catering Apartment that offers plenty of space.

2 Flora's Room

Flora's Room is named after Flora MacDonald, one of the great heroines of Scottish history. She played a key role in helping Bonnie Prince Charlie evade capture and escape to Skye.

This charming top-floor guest room with a comfortable king-sized bed and large private shower room is perfect for 2 people.

This bedroom has a special bespoke throw, hand-made on the Isle of Skye. It includes a small section of the Moy Hall plaid, a tartan which was worn by Bonnie Prince Charlie.

2 Lt. Macleod Room

Lt. Macleod's Room, this beautifully restored room has been named after the Red Coat Officer who questioned Flora MacDonald on the night of Bonnie Prince Charlie's escape.

This top-floor room has a king-size bed and a luxury bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Stylish and contemporary it also has one of our specially designed Philippe Starck ‘Ghost’ chairs…would you like to discover the reason why we commissioned them??

3 Alexander's Suite

Alexander’s Suite is named after Alexander Macdonald, 1st Baron Macdonald of Slate. He was a Son of Alexander Macdonald, the 7th Baronet of Slate, and Margaret Montgomerie who used to stay at Monkstadt house.

Are you looking for something a little grander? Then the contemporary Alexander Suite, one of our largest suites is spread over two floors. You can cosy up by the log fire in the lounge, or enjoy room service at your own private table overlooking the gardens, then you can retreat upstairs to relax in your luxurious four-poster king-sized bedroom.

There is also a sofa bed which is ideal for families travelling with a child.

The Coach House Suite, is an annexe of the main house split over two floors, named after the original use of this space, back in time all visitors would have left their coach and horses here to be taken care of by Monkstadt House hosts.

Upstairs is a luxurious king-sized bed with a stand-alone bath, affording lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Downstairs is a comfortable lounge with a bathroom and shower with access to a private courtyard.

Lovingly restored, The Coach house Suite is the perfect place to relax during a romantic getaway.
