Duntulm Castle
Overlooking the Minch and out to Harris is the great, grey ruins of Duntulm Castle. The eerie remains of what was once the powerhouse of the Clan Donald, prior to Monkstadt, has many ghostly stories to be explored.

Visit the memorial of one of Scottish History’s greatest heroines, Flora MacDonald, which is in the nearby village of Kilmuir and boasts a commanding position looking out over the picturesque Trotternish landscape.
Another spot worth visiting in Kilmuir is The Skye Museum of Island Life, which allows you to step back in time to Skye 100 years ago, where you can visit a preserved township of thatched cottages. The museum does its best to depict the living conditions of residents of Skye during that time.
Armadale Castle, Gardens and Museum of the Isles or “The Spiritual Home of the Clan Donald” was once the seat of the MacDonalds of Sleat and was the place of marriage of Flora MacDonald in 1750. The brilliant Museum of the Isles allows you to explore 1500 years of Highland history and is located in the south of the island in Sleat.
